CLASSIC MALTS OF SCOTLAND

The six Classic Malts of Scotland are a selection of six single malt whiskies, launched and marketed together in 1988 by United Distillers and Vintners which is now owned by Diageo. They are often displayed together in bars and liquor stores and embrace the full diversity of regional tastes and styles.

OBAN
Vol: 43% West Highland

A 14 years old combining the sophistication of the Highlands with a touch of the peaty style of the Islands. Oban is one of the oldest stills in Scotland.
It is rich and full-bodied with a mellow fruity finish.

GLENKINCHIE
Vol: 43% Lowland

Glenkinchie is a soft 12 years old, sweetly aromatic malt from the 'Garden of Scotland' also known as the ladies whisky.
It has a fresh, grassy sweetness balanced with a subtle thing of dryness.
A truly fine distinctive Single Malt, excellent as a pre-dinner drink.

TALISKER
Vol: 45.8% Isle of Skye

This 10 years old is the only malt produced on Skye. It is a bit smoked and fragile. It’s smoky nose and sweet “maltiness” is perfectly complimented by its spicy and long finish.

CRAGGANMORE
Vol: 40% Speyside

A 12 years old elegant, sophisticated Speyside with the most complex aroma of any malt.
Astonishingly fragrant with a sweet and smoky maltiness on the finish.

LAGAVULIN
Vol:43% Islay

This 16 years old distinctive and powerful Islay malt is deeply smoky and peaty with a velvety and complex finish.

DALWHINNIE
Vol:43% Highland

15 years old gentle, delicate malt from the wild and windswept Highlands. It is a smooth delicate malt with a heathery honey finish.
