After the completion of his medical school in 1992 with 7 years of assiduous training, Dr. Said Saghieh joined AUBMC to complete his residency in orthopedic surgery.
With a thirst and aim for higher education, he left for the USA to specialize in bone & soft tissue surgeries, at the prestigious MD Anderson Cancer Center, in Houston, Texas. After that, he pursued his training in Baltimore, Maryland, to complete another specialty in limb lengthening and reconstructive surgeries, a technique of which he masters.

Having acquired an outstanding level of proficiency and an ultimate level of expertise, Dr. Saghieh moved back to Lebanon to join AUBMC, in 2002.

Putting his heart and outstanding knowledge for the service of children,
Dr. Saghieh is playing an instrumental role in the Limb Salvage Program at the Children Cancer Center of Lebanon (CCCL), affiliated to St. Jude, Memphis.

In the past 3 years, and in view of the situation in the surrounding countries,
Dr. Saghieh has become a renowned reference in the Middle Eastern region for post-traumatic deformities and war injuries, mainly for patients coming from Syria and Iraq.

Dr. Saghieh’s perpetual seek for improvement never reaches an end. His future plan is to establish and become the founder of a specialized center for limb lengthening & reconstruction in Lebanon.
