Born in Beirut on August 9th 1965, Michel is the youngest of 5 brothers and a sister. His guiding principles in life were transmitted by his father, who passed to him his determination while his mother gifted him love of family and art.

Michel studied at Frere Mariste Champville. In 1982, after the assassination of President “Bashir Gemayel”, his family left for Switzerland where he continued his education and graduated from Webster University.

In1986, Michel returned to Lebanon where he began working at Mecattaf s.a.l under the guidance of his father where he was treated like any young recruit, was coached to learn all facets of the business without taking part in the decision making process.

In 1990, as Lebanon was torn by a war between brothers, Michel’s father left for Paris, handing over all Mecattaf s.a.l responsibilities to Michel. At the young age of 25, he took over the biggest financal company in the Middle East and lifted it to the highest level of performances. His high work ethics and determination earned him to raise the family enterprise into an internationally accredited financial institution.

At 3.34pm, November 21st 2006, Michel’s life took a big detour with Pierre Gemayel’s assassination. He left his offices, determined to pursue Pierre’s dream in the public sphere and finally engaging in what he loves: the food and beverage industry which is more of a passion than a business.

Amidst the blood bath which is upsetting the region, Michel believes that peaceful struggle, economic and cultural development are the path towards rebuilding a just and prosperous society in Lebanon and the Arab world.

Avant gardiste, Michel chief concern is to be ready for the post war era; Looking always beyond the current realities with a firmly rooted respect for our heritage and the legacy of our fathers.
