After achieving his training, and joining the Beirut Bar Association in 1990, he opened, in 1996, with his father the notorious lawyer Joseph Araygi, a study in Sin el-Fil.
Two years later, he established with his managing partner Gaby Maalouli, Araygi & Maalouly Law Firm, a leading full practice law firm.

Raymond’s dedication and close friendship with Sleiman Franjieh propelled him into the political field where he held an official position within several ministries as Franjieh’s adviser: Ministry of Public Health (1996 - 1998) and (2000-2004), Ministry of Agriculture (1998-2000), Ministry of Interior and Municipalities (2004-2005).
