Lebanese Writer and Producer
Inspired by social issues and the reality of people, her main goal remains in writing taboo issues. Problems that people avoid talking about and rather prefer to ignore like child abuse, prostitution and drugs.
Born in 1975, Nibal lived 25 years in Paris where she got her degree in Communications at “la Sorbonne” University. In 1997, She earned her Master’s in advertising at “Ecole Superieure de Creatif en Publicite” in Lilles.
After working 8 years in the media and advertising field, she wrote and published in 2006, “Les hommes sont des salauds...Et les femmes ne valent pas mieux”, which turned to be the best seller book in Lebanon.
At the young age of 20, Nibal wrote her first scenario which the French channel “Canal Plus” wanted to produce into a TV movie. Back then her enthusiasm and young age made her turn down this great offer.
Her first movie “Blind Intersections” (Ossit Sawani) reflects exactly the cruel reality that people run away from.
Writing, producing and acting in this movie was a challenge especially that it was only financed by private investors who believed in Nibal’s Talent.
Thanks to the support of many authentic people as Pierre el Daher, Claude Hajjar, family, friends, investors and competitive team, Ossit Sawani turned to be one of the most successful Lebanese movies that shacked all minds and hearts.
Nibal’s great success encouraged her to venture in a new movie production about Lebanese women. This new sarcastic comedy will be shot in 2014 and released in 2015. In the mean time her promising talent intrigues and appeals international cineaste and writers in USA where she already traced her path.

Nibal has chosen not to focus on the impact of the civil war, but to instead shine a - sometimes not very flattering, often harsh, but very necessary - light on aspects of Lebanese society with its different, and generally very segregated social classes.
